On Wednesday night close to 70 southampton football fans came to Ottoman Kitchen restaurant to listen club legends James Beattie and Jason Dodd speak, compered by Lucien De La Loi.
Both players from the 1999 great escape team spoke with passion about the club and with fondness about the fighting character of that team that included Francis Benali and Matt Le Tissier (perhaps which is lacking in the current side).
The night featured a raffle with items including a James Ward Prowse signed captains armband, a signed Lyanco match worn shirt. A signed Romeo Lavia framed photo and a signed southampton football. The auction raised a total of £1200 for Saints foundation with charity fundraiser Jazz Bhatti remarked that as a great total which will go towards children’s and community initiatives in southampton.
