With summer holidays in doubt, Ottoman Kitchen Southampton will be bringing a new outdoor dining experience to Southampton to rival the likes of the Mediterranean beach resorts this summer!
Southampton council have kindly given us permission to setup an outdoor dining marquee which we’ll launch from April 12. The area will be fully heated to protect our guests against any rainy days so we can offer the perfect outdoor dining area in Southampton.
The outdoor area will be open daily from lunchtime, serving lunch and dinner with a menu of award winning favourites from Chicken shish to lamb kavurma. There’ll be around 90 outdoors seats available in total, 60 seats in the heated and covered areas and 30 seats outside in the sun. With our south facing position, it provides the perfect dining area to enjoy the weather on sunny days in Southampton.
Owner Ali Yilmaz said: “With the uncertainties around holidays abroad we’re giving people a chance to experience a summer holiday to Turkey without leaving Southampton. Sometimes we don’t quite have the Mediterranean weather, so we needed a covered and heated outdoor area for any rainy days, and we’re grateful for Southampton council for letting us put this up!”

“We had a 10-week period last year with the outdoor area that went really well and following that licensing, police and planning have been happy with us. Now we have a licence to use it until the end of year now. Coming out of the current lockdown, it gives us a great space to use and also means friends and families can safely meet up following the government rules.”
“We think we’re offering something completely different to the people of Southampton. We create a great atmosphere and this is one of the best areas in Southampton on a sunny day for relaxing. We intend to bring back our live music on Friday nights and DJ Saturdays as well to give our diner some entertainment”
The outdoor dining area will be open 7 days a week from 12 midday and Live Music Fridays and DJ Saturday entertainment evenings will also be resuming. Please book your table online to reserved you space online, we are also asking for a £5 deposit per person. Book Now
